BIRTH OF RIVERS The rivers can receive water from different sources.  It can sometimes be related to precipitation in a direct or indirect way. River is often born of underground lands (streams, torrents,...). They can also be formed due to ice defrost glaciers. The small rivers that come from underground waters and thaws flow downstream and join other streams or torrents forming the rivers.
